Places we'll explore

Gamat Bay

Located nearby the Broken Beach, this spot is famous for being the regular feeding area for manta rays where a lot of these gentle giants can be seen congregating and looping around the shallow water. In all fairness, these pelagic creatures are everywhere in Nusa Penida but only at Manta Bay (hence the name) you can visit their realm and see them from close range.

Manta Bay

Located between Toya Pakeh and Crystal Bay on the west side of the island, Gamat Bay is characterised by an excellent visibility, wonderful marine life and a steep slope. The ocean floor is occupied by groups of colorful corals and white sands, providing shelter to diverse specimens of nudibranchs and reef fish.

Crystal Bay

As the most popular snorkeling site and the closest to all sorts of modern facilities in the island, Crystal Bay has everything a seasonal snorkeler would love to see: minimal current, crystal-clear visibility and amazing marine discoveries. The waves and the chop are much smaller, all thanks to the sheltering effect of the bay itself and the Batumejinong Islet on the anterior side.

Kelingking Viewpoint

“Kelingking” literally means “Pinkie” in English as if you are destined to make a pinky promise to visit this piece of paradise. Often times it’s referred as T-Rex beach that surprisingly bears uncanny resemblance to the famous Navagio Beach in Greece. For these reasons, many travelers vouch for Kelingking as the best spot in west Nusa Penida.

While it may not offer the same vantage point as the first one, the abundance of photo props around Paluang Cliff and the fact that it’s only minutes of walk away from Kelingking point makes it an equally worthy spot to visit to feed your social media craze.

Paluang Cliff

While it may not offer the same vantage point as the first one, the abundance of photo props around Paluang Cliff and the fact that it’s only minutes of walk away from Kelingking point makes it an equally worthy spot to visit to feed your social media craze.

Broken Beach & Viewpoint

Broken Beach was formed because of a high cliff in the middle of this beach. Broken Beach is also known as Pantai Pasih Uug which means broken beach. Broken Beach is the best selfie spot with cliff views, beach waves below.

Angel’s Billabong & Viewpoint

Angel Billabong Nusa Penida is known for its amazing natural charm. Facing the Indian Ocean, it offers beautiful natural scenery that makes Angel Billabong Bali dubbed the angel of Nusa Penida.
